DBC specific programs have been developed by the scientists and doctors at DBC International for the treatment of chronic lower back, neck and shoulder pain.
These treatments have been developed using Randomised Controlled Trial Studies (RCT's).
RCT's are the benchmark test used to determine whether a treatment works or not. DBC RCT research has been published in a range of peer-reviewed scientific journals, underlining the effectiveness of our programs.

Our programs, the systems we use and the results of our rehabilitation programs are outlined in layman terms in the following downloadable PDF's:
An initial DBC assessment may take up to 90 minutes. This will involve a very detailed history taking and an objective assessment. This includes accurate measurement of your spinal range of movement using our specialised equipment. For a lumbar spine assessment, EMG (using surface electrodes) measurement may also be taken of spinal muscle activity in standing and under fatigue testing.
DBC is a gym-based treatment utilising our specialised equipment for training of the spinal muscles. Treatment sessions may also include stretching, relaxation and cardiovascular exercise. Length of stay at each session is open ended, but the average time is 60 minutes. The programme length is dependant on the patient’s specific needs, with two sessions per week, and is fully supervised by the physiotherapists
