Getting Referred

How can I be referred?

GP referral:
You will need a letter from your GP detailing your problem and any relevant history. Any further correspondence regarding your treatment will be with you and your GP to allow continuation of care.

Specialist referral:
If you have already been referred to a Specialist by your GP then they may refer you for a course of physiotherapy. Any further correspondence regarding your treatment will be with you and your Specialist and copied to your GP.

Self referral:
Patients can self refer. You will be asked specific questions regarding your complaint when you make an appointment. If you have any relevant history: scans, x-rays, medical notes it is helpful for the clinic to know prior to your appointment so that they can let you know which would be useful to bring along.

Insured Patients

If you have medical insurance it is important that you ring them to check your policy will cover physiotherapy treatment and to obtain authorization from them. It is quite usual for Insurance companies to require a letter of referral from either your GP or your Specialist in order for them to pay the claim. It is important that you clarify their requirements before you attend for treatment.

Self pay patients

Please ring the clinic you and discuss the fees with them directly.
